Matthieu Thibaud is glad to be a consistent contributor to the Heart of Sailing Foundation. The Heart of Sailing Foundation introduces sailing for free to children and adults with developmental disabilities, such as Autism and Down Syndrome, as a form of education and recreational therapy.
Matthieu Thibaud, professional skimboarder for Victoria Skimboards, had the following to say about meeting up with the Heart of Sailing Foundation: "I met Heart of Sailing Founder, George Saidah, in Laguna Beach California during one of his stops last year (end of 2009), and learned about the program of his foundation. I was amazed of how much time and effort he could spend for such a great project... I immediately wanted to do something and help. In September 2010, when Victoria Skimboards offered me the opportunity to design my own Pro Model in 2011, right away I thought of combining this with the foundation Heart of Sailing. In 2011, I will donate monthly portion of my board sales and will ride and represent Heart of Sailing as much as I can. I am really happy to be able to help this wonderful foundation"
George Saidah, the founder of Heart of Sailing, offered the following: "Matthieu's offer was a very unexpected wonderful news. His generosity will help us in many ways, which primarily will be financially and raising our program's awareness throughout the world. This will help us fulfill our mission, continue and expand our services to the special needs communities.
Starting in 2011, Matthieu will donate a portion of the sales of his Pro Model skimboard to the Heart of Sailing Foundation. For more information on the Heart of Sailing Foundation, please click the link below.
